A few kilometers from Øverland farm in Bærum is a small farm that has been made available to the public. At Sæteren Gård there are activities and outdoor activities that many school classes and others get to enjoy. Here there is a nature and adventure trail, adventure trail, climbing tower, bonfires, orientation posts, gap hut, 62 beds and a cafeteria. A nice destination for a Sunday outing for the whole family.

Sæteren gård was originally a seat for Haug gård. From 1771 it became a homestead for Nordre Haug farm, and in 1865 it was converted into an independent farm. In 1945, the state confiscated the farm after it had been owned by a war profiteer during the war. However, the state was not a good owner, and the premises were very dilapidated when Olav Thon bought it in 2000. He donated it to the Norwegian Tourist Association Oslo and Omegn and financed the rehabilitation of the buildings and the construction of a new house for a permanent manager. Several of the houses that stand there today are the original ones from the 19th century.
