Burudvann - an oasis in the forest

Twenty minutes drive from Sandvika you will find an idyllic spot in the woods. A walk around the lake takes about two hours. In the summertime this is a nice place for a swim.

Here you can eat under the trees, fish, swim, walk a little or just enjoy the quietness of the woods.

In the fall you can enjoy the colors.

Excursion of the week: Burudvann in Bærum

Suitable for: Everyone. It is only 700 meters from the parking lot to the lake. Baby carriage and wheelchair can be used to get to the beach. The trip around the lake goes partly on forest roads and partly on paths.

The bathing area has: Sandy beach, bathing raft with diving board and bathing ladder, bridge / pier, table and bench.

Get there: From Oslo you'll drive E-18 towards Drammen. In Sandvika you'll take off at E-16 towards Hønefoss. After a couple of kilometers take off to Rv 168 towards Bærums Verk. At Bærums Verk stright on (not to the right) in the first roundaboat and to the left (stright) in the next. You should now follow the Lommedalsveien until you reach a sign to a golf course at the right hand side. Take right and follow the signs to the golf court (first Skollerudveien and then Burudveien). Drive past the golf course and continue on the Burudveien until you get to a parking lot. Park there and walk stright on until you reach the lake.
