Sierra Bernia - through and around

The Bernia mountain has a cave that passes through the mountain. The first ten meters you have to bend down quite heavily. On the other side you get a magnificent view to the Mediterranean and Altea Valley. The trip starts at the back of the mountain in the Halon Valley. You'll get through the mountain to the right in the photo, almost at the top. Blomsholm - Lull on the Bohusläden

Bohusläden is a network of hiking trails/roads from Skåne in the south to the Norwegian border in the north. It is linked to coastal trails in Norway in the Halden area. A little part of this route goes from Blomsholm Nature Reserve to a viewpoint near the farm called Lull. Here's also a shed where you can take a break and grill sausages or drink coffee. The lighthouse on the top of the cliff at the entrance to the Albir Bay in the Sierra Helada National Park was built in 1863 in connection with the Torre Bombarda guard tower previously used in the defence against pirates. Cuevas de las calaveras - cave in Benidoleig

A few miles from the coastal town of Denía and just off the village of Benidoleig, lies one of the oldest and most interesting caves of its kind: Cuevas de las calaveras. Traces of humans and animals have been found in the cave as far back as 50,000 - 100,000 years ago.
