The farm La Concepción is an association of several farms on the banks of the river Guadalmedina, north of the city of Malaga. Here they cultivated grain, olive trees, almond trees, vines and citrus fruits. The creators of the park as it is today were the marquises of Casa Loring, Jorge Loring Oyarzábal and Amalia Heredia Livermore, both children of famous businessmen.
This is the best preserved subtropical landscape style garden in Europe. It was protected as historical heritage under the designation Bien de Interés Cultural in 1855.
Here you will find more than fifty thousand plants, three thousand species, both tropical, subtropical and local. From the vantage points in the park you can see the city of Malaga and the Mediterranean Sea.
The park is probably at its most beautiful in spring and early summer, but here you can admire beautiful flowers and plants all year round, such as in November when these photos were taken.
The park area is a peaceful place where it is good to be for the whole family.
In addition to plants, there are sculptures and works of art in several places. The park is divided into areas, and walkways and routes have been created that you can follow so that you can see everything.
There are also a number of birds that have settled here. Among other things, there is a colony of monk parakeets.
