Daftö - Hike in Daftö Resort and visit to the Daftöland amusement park - Bohuslän nature

Five kilometers from the center of Strömstad is Daftö Resort. It is a large and modern campsite with much of what one could wish for in a holiday. Here you will find hiking trails, mini golf, a sports field, a sandy beach, a swimming pool, and an amusement park. You can stay in a tent, camper, cabin, house, apartment, or hotel, and you can eat for yourself or in a restaurant. But you can also visit the resort without staying there. In this post, the hikes and the amusement park that are open to everyone are presented.

We start with the hikes. Daftö Resort has three hiking trails - Kaparleden at 1.5 km, Historieleden at 2 km and Naturleden at 5 km. Kaparleden is specially designed for children. It has six stations along the way where you are given questions and tasks to solve before you move on, and you go on a treasure hunt to find a secret word.

The history trail also has stations where you can stop. In it you don't get tasks, but information about the history of Bohuslän. The longest trail goes through varied terrain both along the beaches and in the forest. There you get to see a lot of the special nature of Bohuslän.

The three trails start at the sports field inside the campsite. There are signs that you can follow and information about the trails. The nature trail is marked in blue on the map, but in some places it coincides with Bohusläden, which is also marked in blue. You should follow the signs with the white shell to get there.

The Daftökampen is a collection of tasks that you will compete in based on the TV program "Master of Masters". It costs two hundred kroner to participate.

The amusement park is called Daftöland. It has a pirate theme. You pay to enter the park, but the activities are free. It is a small and intimate amusement park with something for all ages.

Daftö Resort also has other facilities such as a café, swimming pool and mini golf. The mini golf course has a pirate theme.

Getting there: Enter Daftö Resort on Google Maps. Park in the large parking lot on the east side of the road at the intersection by Daftöland. Alternatively: Turn left at the first roundabout you come to when you have turned off the E6 towards Strömstad north. Then follow road 176 straight ahead for approx. 5 km. You will first come to Lagunen Camping at the bottom of a long hill. A few hundred metres past the top of the hill are Daftöland and Daftö Resort on the right. The parking lot is on the left.
