Sardinera - Spanish coastal cliffs
Just outside the small fishing village of Javea - located a few kilometers south of the more famous coastal town of Dénia on the Costa Blanca - is a small sandy beach with pebbles. In this bay, locals have been fishing sardines for centuries - hence the name Cala Sardinera. Large nets were lowered mornings and evenings.
